Safety, strength and peace. Proverbs 18:10

Proverbs 18:10 (NLT)
10 The name of the Lord is a strong fortress; the godly run to him and are safe.

Psalm 29:11 (NLT)
11 The Lord gives his people strength. The Lord blesses them with peace.

Proverbs 2:9 (NLT)
9 Then you will understand what is right, just, and fair, and you will find the right way to go.

Philippians 4:7 (NLT)
7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

The godly run to him and are safe because he gives us strength and peace. We know what is right, just and fair; we know the right path to take (even if we struggle to stay on the right path).

I wonder where the godless run to. To me, it end up looking like this: Esme Brown and Peter Cary Peterson marry in Las Vegas. If you want to know the real of the secular world, read the article in the link. It’s out there – just plain weird – another example of how life looks when you get away from God. Full of stupidity, vanity and just plain spoiled brat. Extreme? Yes. However, it you want to test a thesis, if you want to know the real of something, take it to its extreme. That’s an extreme of the secular world and it doesn’t look or smell right at all.

If you want to look at what God is like when taken to his extreme, look at Christ. Not Christianity, but Christ – full of love, righteousness, justice, peace, strength.

The secular and God do not walk on the same path, and they have distinctly different destinations.

1 Peter 4:7 (NLT)
7 The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers.

The world is coming to an end, sometime. We can all agree on that – just not on the how. It might happen because of us and our carbon, or it might happen because God says it’s time. Or, the two might be tied together. We won’t know until we know.
Where do you run for safety, strength and peace?
