1 Peter 2:24 (NLT)
24 He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed.
By his wounds you are healed. So close to Easter, we can envision the wounds he endured for us. We know that, yet still struggle with sin – more importantly, we struggle with the self will that leads to sin. He knows that. He knew that when he died on the cross. He did that for us.
Hebrews 9:27-28 (NLT)
27 And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment, 28 so also Christ was offered once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him.
There comes a time when we’d like to not sin and just aren’t capable of it. How I wish I didn’t sin. No good comes of it. Eagerly waiting for him to take me home where I am free from this worldly me and can truly be the man God created me to be. I can’t wait to meet that person.
Isaiah 66:14 (NLT)
14 When you see these things, your heart will rejoice. You will flourish like the grass! Everyone will see the Lord’s hand of blessing on his servants — and his anger against his enemies.
Mark 11:24 (NLT)
24 I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.
I pray for the return on Christ.
I’m sorry but as an atheist I don’t pray. It’s simply not something I do as I believe it does not help and is a waste of time. I will donate money to charity to help people, though, so don’t get me wrong.

As a recovering agnostic (and drunk) I know how you feel about it. That said, and I say this with my tongue firmly in planted in cheek, I bet you hope you’re right, because if you’re not it’s gonna suck for you. One thing I do know is that one of us is right and we can’t both be right.
I’m glad that you donate to charity and I wish more people do as you do. Have you considered though that it be better if you read the red letters and acted as Christ calls us to be – whether you believe in Him (or God) or not?
