John 1:14 (NLT)
14 So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.
2 Peter 1:3 (NLT)
3 By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.
Why? It’s a big why. We miss the bigness of these truths in our daily lives. We miss it as the anchor of our cadence. It gets crowded out in the daily rush of must do’s.
Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT)
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
Psalm 62:7 (NLT)
7 My victory and honor come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.
Big why again. Why bother having plans for me, for us? Because we’re called to bring God’s way to the world, to pee in the world’s Wheaties and disrupt the corrupt, overwhelm the evil, lead to a new normal.
Proverbs 31:9 (NLT)
9 Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless, and see that they get justice.
Matthew 25:35-36 (NLT)
35 “For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. 36 I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.”
Luke 6:45 (NLT)
45 “A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart.”
The big why is because that’s the way it’s supposed to be.
Philippians 4:4 (NLT)
4 Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!
“to pee in the world’s Wheaties”
That’s taking God’s calling head on! Amen

Humbly, from a place of love, firmly, in truth. Just like He taught us. Far to many pucker butted, sanctimonious, self-righteous “Christians” doing it out of hate and pride. 1 Corinthians 13 comes to mind.
