Deuteronomy 4:29

Deuteronomy 4:29
“29 But from there you will seek the Lord your God and you will find him, if you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul.”

Seek and you will find him. God doesn’t play hide and seek with us. I think we do with him. We try to hide when we don’t want him to see what we’re doing. We run away when good and bad things happen. We blame him for allowing our pain. He doesn’t love us. We wonder how he can let “that” happen.

When do we seek God? In dark moments? In light moments? In meh moments? Why don’t we seek God all the time? Do we think He doesn’t know what we’re up to, that we can hide? Do we think in moments of pain that He doesn’t love us wholly and perfectly, that he doesn’t feel our pain and grieve for us, grieve with us? That he doesn’t snort when he laughs with us?  Fact check: He is with us even when we don’t want him there.

Seek and you will find. He is always with us. Lord Jesus, then what is the problem with finding you every minute of the day? It’s gotta be me.

I’m seeking love. I’m seeking purpose. I’m seeking joy. I’m seeking peace. I’m seeking gentleness. I’m seeking the fruits of the spirit in my life. But I don’t seek God? I’m not sure where I think it’s going to come from then.

Seek and you will find. Seek your Lord and God with all your heart, with all your soul and you will find Him. Seek Him always, at all times.

Know that God is love. God is Joy. God is peace. God is patience. God is kindness. God is goodness. God is faithfulness. God is gentleness. God is self-control

No matter what, know that He is always with us, always there for us to find him, always ready for us to be with Him. Remember who He always is. Remember where he always is.
