John 15:12-13
“12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 12 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
Love each other as I have loved you. I follow a blog (tworiversblog.com) and there was a post the other day that painted injustice in a very powerful way (http://wp.me/p2JpvQ-1CI). Read it and come back. There’s a whole lot of that going on in the world. All over the world. Far reaching, insidious, deeply ingrained in our fabric. Satan’s work.
The world says Christians/Christ/God are irrelevant and unneeded. Look at the results.
Jesus says Love each other as I have loved you. Where are the results? Are we doing enough? Are you passionate about Christ? How passionate are you really? Are you ready to sell out for Him to love others as he loved us? Are you ready to sell out like He did for us? Do you love Him enough, are you committed enough, to die for your friends? Are you ready to die to self to serve Christ? Are you ready to die to the world to serve Christ? Are your ready to die for your friends? Who are our friends (neighbors) Christ asks us.
Injustice. Prevalent. Deeply rooted. Anti-Christ like. Why are we losing the battle?
Are you willing to sell out for Christ, to sell out to him and let Him use you to do His work unconditionally?
We should cry every day for the injustice we see and sob for the injustice we don’t that’s 10,000 greater. Damn it, this isn’t what God wants and he wants us to change it.
“12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 12 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
Rise up and fight injustice. Love others as Christ loves us. Do for others what Christ did for us. Be a freaking Christian in deed, not word.
