John 13:34-35 Love like your eternity depends on it.

John 13:34-35
“34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you are to love one another. 35 By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

A new commandment. Love one another. Not just people who are like you in sociology-economic status, color, background, whatever, but everyone, regardless of the aforementioned. Believers, non-believers, healthy, sick, whole, broken, upright, downright: everyone.

What does that love look like? To love sacrificially, unconditionally, radically, selflessly, wholly, completely.

By this, you will be known as followers. Not by the clothes you wear, the books you read, the jewelry you show, the things you say, the money you give, none of those. You’ll be known by how you love. When you love, everything else falls into place. You can’t love like Christ and not fall in with everything else it means to be a Christ follower.

Love like your eternity depends on it.
