Matthew 7:10, 15-17 Golden rule in reality

Matthew 7:10 (NIV)
The Golden Rule “So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.”
Matthew 7:15-17 (NIV)
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16 You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit.”

Dallas, TX. 5 police murdered while protecting protesters marching against police violence. Two men killed by police. 82 shot, 14 killed in Chicago over the 4th of July weekend. We got some bad trees growing.

Question is, what are we going to do about it? There’s nothing hand wringing will do to solve the problem, nothing pointing fingers will do, nothing gun control will do to stop the brokenness. Only getting involved, one on one, getting your hands dirty, planting tiny mustard seeds, maybe even just one seed.

This is our problem. What are you doing about it?

Luke 6:35 (NIV)
“But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil.”
