Getting to yes John 1:1-5 Matthew 18:19-20 Psalm 145:10-14

John 1:1-5 (NIV)
The Word Became Flesh
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

Matthew 18:19-20 (MSG)
18-20 “Take this most seriously: A yes on earth is yes in heaven; a no on earth is no in heaven. What you say to one another is eternal. I mean this. When two of you get together on anything at all on earth and make a prayer of it, my Father in heaven goes into action. And when two or three of you are together because of me, you can be sure that I’ll be there.”

Psalm 145:10-14 (NLT)
10 All of your works will thank you, Lord, and your faithful followers will praise you.
11 They will speak of the glory of your kingdom; they will give examples of your power.
12 They will tell about your mighty deeds and about the majesty and glory of your reign.
13 For your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. You rule throughout all generations. The Lord always keeps his promises; he is gracious in all he does.
14 The Lord helps the fallen and lifts those bent beneath their loads.

A yes on earth is a yes in heaven. Through him all things were made. In him was life and that life was the light of all mankind. The Lord helps the fallen and lifts those bent beneath their loads.

Hope when I’m not sure WTH is going on and the “why’s” start creeping into my head.

Yes means yes, no means no. When we get together, we have the Creator, the First, the Word, the Light with us. We have the cause of this all with us, and He’s perfect. Amazing. He answers every prayer. Yes means yes, no means no.

He is life. He is the light. He will overcome, darkness will not rule in the end unless we choose to walk away and walk in darkness; but that’s our choice, not His.

We are meant to be together, we are meant to be in relationships with each other, we are meant to be with Him. We are meant to live big, joyous, happy and free. There’s only one way to that “yes”.

He will answer with a yes or a no, shine light into the darkest corners of our soul, and lift from us the heavy loads we bear. He’ll pick us up and help us walk the path. Forever.

He’ll get us to the place where the “yes” are.
