When the leaven breaks Matthew 7:12 Luke 13:20-21

Matthew 7:12 (ESV)
12 “So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

Luke 13:20-21 (ESV)
20 And again he said, “To what shall I compare the kingdom of God? 21 It is like leaven that a woman took and hid in three measures of flour, until it was all leavened.”

When the leaven breaks, God’s kingdom is here. When the Golden Rule is followed like the purpose for living, God’s Kingdom is here – as best we can make it. Yet, the leven hasn’t made it all the way through the flour yet.

Romans 16:17-18 (ESV)
17 I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. 18 For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites,[a] and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive.

We’ve been taught what to to, given lofty goals, shown what the Kingdom will look like. A few simple words.

Don’t you know which way to go? Be the leaven, be the break the flour, live the Golden Rule.
