Deuteronomy 8:17-18
17. You may say to yourself, “My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.” 18. But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.
You mat say – in the infamous words of Bill the Cat – “Thbbft”.
We tend to dismiss the presence of God in our lives. Atheists, agnostics for sure. But Christians, Jews, Muslims, et. al. do as well. We deny his presence in the way we take credit for our accomplishments, like we did it in our own. Sure would be true except that we use our God given talents and skills to get there. God given, not us created.
God loves us even when we blow him off, he blessed us even when we deny him. That’s who he is, that’s his love and patience, waiting for us to come back to him.
“Thbbft” might work for Bill the Cat – he’s not capable of much more. God is, and because of that, so are we. It’s his covenant to us through the ages. Recognize that and embrace the power he brings to us.
Thanks for any other wonderful post. The place else may anyone get that kind of information in such an ideal means of writing? I’ve a presentation subsequent week, and I am on the search for such information.
