John 10:10 NIV
The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.
How we wish it wasn’t true. Those that claim Satan doesn’t exist, that he’s a figment of an ancient history of a primitive (and I assume they feel less intelligent) people, that we just can’t seem to shake – how to they explain so much evil behavior? News flash – the thief is real. Our ancestors were no less intelligent than we were. Maybe less educated, but certainly not less intelligent. In many ways, they were closer to the earth because their lives depended on it. They knew the rhythms better than modern man who’s so plugged in he’s lost touch.
John 15:1-3 (NLT)
15 “I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. 3 You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you.
The Message. One of hope. One of a rich and satisfying life. For all.
Philippians 2:1-5 (NLT)
2 Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate? 2 Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose.
3 Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. 4 Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.
5 You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.
