Ephesians 3:16-19 (NLT)
16 I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. 17 Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. 18 And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. 19 May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
Psalm 28:7 (NLT)
7 The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.
It’s nice to be prayed for. Actually, it’s more than nice. We forget, or maybe just don’t believe, how powerful prayer is. We remember from the foxhole, but not in everyday life. God listens and he answers.
I too pray that Christ will make his home in your heart. I pray that he makes his home in my heart too. Fully vested, deeply rooted down into his love for me, for you, for all of us. I pray that we all grow to understand how wide, long, high and deep is love is, that we understand fully the gap between his love and what humans are capable of.
I, like many others, turn to him in times of need, not all the time. I pray that I, pray that you, pray that we, all live in his love 24/7/365 and we leave our selfishness behind.
Wisdom note:
Ecclesiastes 5:11 (NLT)
11 The more you have, the more people come to help you spend it. So what good is wealth—except perhaps to watch it slip through your fingers!
