Psalm 59:16 (NLT)
16 But as for me, I will sing about your power. Each morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love. For you have been my refuge, a place of safety when I am in distress.
We have been given so much to be grateful for. In the turbulence of our lives here on earth, we have a place of safety, of peace, a refuge. We have a place to go where we cannot be hurt any more, where the constant finger pointing, nagging, beating ways of the world, the ways of our guilt, are put in their proper place.
Yet, there’s so much more. There’s hope for today.
Galatians 5:22 (NLT)
22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!
Romans 5:1 (ESV)
5 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Hope for eternity.
John 6:37-40 (NLT)
37 “However, those the Father has given me will come to me, and I will never reject them. 38 For I have come down from heaven to do the will of God who sent me, not to do my own will. 39 And this is the will of God, that I should not lose even one of all those he has given me, but that I should raise them up at the last day. 40 For it is my Father’s will that all who see his Son and believe in him should have eternal life. I will raise them up at the last day.”
Revelation 2:7
“Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches. To everyone who is victorious I will give fruit from the tree of life in the paradise of God.”
We have been given so much.
