Let’s go Romans 8:1-4

Romans 8:1-4 (NLT)
8 So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. 2 And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death. 3 The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins. 4 He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us, who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit.

He came for us. He came to deliver us, to save us. Not that He had to, but because in his love, He wanted to. He cares for us like nothing we can understand or replicate. That is beyond cool.

Romans 10:10 (NLT)
10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.

Psalm 30:11-12 (NLT)
11 You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy, 12 that I might sing praises to you and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever!

We go to Him and reap the benefits of His love, not that He needs us, but that He wants us. He also wants us to be the light, to push back the dark, to show the way, to allow Him to work through us.

Hebrews 6:11-12 (NLT)
11 Our great desire is that you will keep on loving others as long as life lasts, in order to make certain that what you hope for will come true. 12 Then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent. Instead, you will follow the example of those who are going to inherit God’s promises because of their faith and endurance.

Romans 12:10 (NLT)
10 Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other.

Proverbs 22:4 (NLT)
4 True humility and fear of the Lord lead to riches, honor, and long life.

He does this because of who He is and He wants us to be the same. Big shoes. Hopeless task. Let’s go.
