Romans 8:32
32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all–how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
God sacrificed his son for our salvation. Think about it. He loves us in such a way that He paid a price no parent would pay because He knows the true consequences of our disobedience. Would you give up your child to benefit of someone undeserving? I can’t get my head around His love for us.
When you truly believe, truly give your heart, life, soul to Him, that can never be taken away. It’s yours for eternity, you take it with you, it’s the next life. The same can’t be said for things of the world. Hearses don’t have U-Hauls behind them for a reason….
God gives us what we need. Sometimes He gives us what we want to teach us a lesson.
That’s our life. What about the world? Yes, there’s a lot of injustice in the world, and why don’t we fix it instead of pining about how God allows it? He’ll “graciously give us all things”, and he expects us to do the work.
God won’t give us what we ask for if all we do is sit around as spectators and wait on the sidelines to expect Him do it with us playing director – like “OK God, that’s cool, now do this”. He will give us what we need to allow Him to work through us. He can accomplish great things through us, and we have to actively pursue it.
Don’t like injustice in your life? Pray for wisdom on why He has put it there. Don’t like injustice in the world? Pray for what He wants you to do to eliminate it.
V31 “…if God is for us, who can be against us?” Go radical, love the unlovable, transform your life, transform the world. Let God go big through you. He gave himself up for us, do the same for Him.
