John 1:12-13

John 1:12-13
“12 Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God– 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.”

This blessing to all of those who made the decision to receive Him, to believe in His name and all that it is. The Word.

Made a decision.

Decided Christ was who he says he is. Decided to commit to Christ, to serve Him, to ask and let the Holy Spirit transform our lives – to focus on living the life He calls us to live in all, everything,  we do.

This shows up in how we walk. Our walk (it really should be run I’m thinking) should be our talk. We shouldn’t have to tell people we are followers of Christ, people should be noticing a significant difference in how we act, how we walk contrary to the ways of the world. There are a lot of Christians out there that the world sees their walk as pompous, self righteous, arrogant, condescending, intolerant, etc. while their life looks no different than non-believers. That ain’t what Christ is about.

Are you walking the walk? Do you love everyone fully and deeply? Do you serve your family and others? Are you living a Christ like life intentionally? Are you spending time every day to get to know His plan for you better?

Or are you too full of the worldly problems to give Him any time?  Are your things to important to worry about others because there’s just not enough time…?

It’s a decision – Christ or the world. What’s your priority? Do your actions show it? Really? Whatever it is, remember God knows better than you do. Time to get walking – or better yet, running.
