Psalms 37:5-6, 10
“5 Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: 6 He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday”
How frustrating is it when cheaters prosper? When complete and total scammers prosper? When thieves steal your security, your peace, your ease and prosper? When those with evil coursing through their veins steal the life of someone through murder or slavery? It’s injustice, and it’s against God’s ways.
Well, it’s not something that’s new. It started at the beginning, with Adam. It was big enough that King David wrote about it extensively, and exhorted us to abandon those ways and follow the ways of our Lord.
Really, don’t we all have a little bit of scammer in us? The answer is yes, we all fall short of the glory of God. When we lie, cheat, steal, well, we lie, cheat and steal. We aren’t as bad as “them”, but it is what it is: lying, cheating, stealing.
Fretting and worrying get us nothing, for in, “10 A little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they will not be found.”
God will make things right in the end. Until then, fight injustice, from the little white lie on the tip of your tongue to porn and human trafficking. Fight.
Fight wearing the full armor of God, knowing you’ll be vindicated, not castigated. Shine like the dawn, in His glory, for His ways. Fight.
