Romans 8:28-30
“28 That’s why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.
29 God knew what he was doing from the very beginning. He decided from the outset to shape the lives of those who love him along the same lines as the life of his Son. The Son stands first in the line of humanity he restored. We see the original and intended shape of our lives there in Him.”
So, here we stand at the fork in the road of choice again. What to do? Do we choose the destiny God created us for or one we create for ourselves?
Wait, choose our destiny? Isn’t destiny predetermined? More literal translations say in verse 29 “For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son….” Well, who doesn’t God fore know? Yet, God does give us this choice – the choice to know Him or not.
If we choose to know Him, our destiny goes one way. If not, it goes another.
Pretty simple. He knows what we do and tries to get all of us back in line, but some of us just refuse to do so. Sad, but that is free will.
Destiny will lead us to one of two places – with Him or not. Imagine choosing your destiny.
