Please, go to the Doctor Proverbs 11:18 Luke 5:31-32

Proverbs 11:18 (ESV)
18 The wicked earns deceptive wages, but one who sows righteousness gets a sure reward.

Sure, everyone knows that karma will catch up to you in the end. Call it karma, fate, destiny, whatever, it’s just that if you pee in everyone’s Wheaties long enough, you’ll end up with a lot of folks pretty upset at you and that’s never produced good results. More importantly, it’s the heart that’ll kill ya. Who has a healthy heart, or a healthy soul, that is constantly doing wicked deeds? It doesn’t take a brain surgeon to figure it out. Wicked isn’t healthy – for the wicked one or the recipients of the wickedness.

There’s a way out of that kind of a mess though. Guess how?

Luke 5:31-32 (MSG)
Jesus heard about it and spoke up, “Who needs a doctor: the healthy or the sick? I’m here inviting outsiders, not insiders—an invitation to a changed life, changed inside and out.”

A changed life, changed inside and out. It’s there if you want it. You just have to want it.

So, where’s your heart at? Your soul? We all have our wicked moments – a voice raised in anger, the comments to the idiot behind the wheel of the car next to you who doesn’t even know you’re yelling at them, thoughts of lust and perversion, lies, and the list goes on. It’s human, and that’s the story line.

It’s those things that God comes to us for, to heal us if we want it. Go to the Doctor and be healed, changed inside and out. It’s a narrow path that leads to the healing and at the very, very end, the gift of a perfect heart and soul.
