Hebrews 4:15(NLT)
15 This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin.
2 Corinthians 3:17 (NLT)
17 For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
Freedom. He knows our challenges, our weaknesses, our temptations. He alone knows how wide the gap is between who we are and who he is. He knows it because he lived it. He lived it for us, for our salvation. He came so we could be saved.
If that’s not amazing enough, he offers us freedom from the ways of the world – from the effects of sin and just not being like him. We aren’t perfect and we have to deal with the consequences of that. Yet…
There is freedom in the Spirit of the Lord.
Galatians 5:22-23 (NLT)
But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!
If this is freedom (hint – it is), how does that line up the freedom you are looking for?
