Shout! Romans 8:29

Romans 8:29 (NLT)
29 For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.

Shouting! Why don’t people get this? Why does the world so hate Christ? What is it about His message that garners such enmity, such outright hatred, that entire sectors of people try to wipe it out from existence? Even in the states, there’s the constant attack under the poorly applied guise of separation of church and state.

What is so offensive about love? About moral code? About right and wrong? What is so offensive? Why do I even care….

Isaiah 50:4 (NLT)
4 The Sovereign Lord has given me his words of wisdom, so that I know how to comfort the weary. Morning by morning he wakens me and opens my understanding to his will.

The Lord gave Isaiah words directly. I ain’t Isaiah, or anywhere near him in my walk with God. Yet, the Lord has given us his words. All of us. Those words have depth and wisdom that is so far beyond what mere college professors or rocket scientists are capable of, much less common dullards like myself.

Yet, the drum beat of the secular world beats on, proudly proclaiming its holy righteousness as unassailable, as perfect, as the only way forward. History repeats itself again as the secular world forgets history and repeats itself again, again.

“Will we march only to the music of time, or will we, risking criticism and abuse, march to the soul-saving music of eternity?”
―Martin Luther King, Jr.

1 Peter 4:8 (NLT)
8 Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins

“We will have to repent in this generation not merely for the hateful words and actions of the bad people but for the appalling silence of the good people”. Martin Luther King, Jr. Letter from a Birmingham Jail (1963)

There is a way forward that’s far better than what the secular world is giving us. God won’t shout, but I will.
