Psalm 42:11 (NLT)
11 Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God!
I will praise him again — my Savior and my God!
Because he delivers. He delivers out of selfless love and all we have to do is turn to him.
Isaiah 9:6 (NLT)
6 For a child is born to us, a son is given to us.
The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Given. A son is given to us. Our redemption is placed in our midst, and all we have to do is turn to him.
Matthew 1:22-23 (NLT)
22 All of this occurred to fulfill the Lord’s message through his prophet:
23 “Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means ‘God is with us.’”
Recorded and witnessed, and all we have to do is turn to him.
Luke 2:14 (NLT)
14 “Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.”
He’s sent his Son for us, he’s done the work on our behalf, and all we have to do is turn to him.
As we are blessed with the awesome gifts of the first world – housing, food, safety, presents, etc., riches that are hard to comprehend, take time to consider the blessing that we’ve been given by the creator of all of this.
And for the biggest blessing of all, all we have to do is turn to him.
May your Christmas be blessed with love, joy, hope, and peace.
John.
Thanks for these devotions.
Merry Christmas.
