Everything we do… Psalm 147:6

Psalm 147:6 (NLT)
6 The Lord supports the humble, but he brings the wicked down into the dust.

To humbly walk in the ways of the Lord is downright difficult today. I think maybe it has been for as long as we’ve been human. Adam sure couldn’t do it, nor could Eve. The Pharisee’s couldn’t do it. I can’t do it very well. Pride wells up even as I’m thinking how humble I am. Why is that? It seems that I can’t get it right.

Joshua 10:25 (NLT)
25 “Don’t ever be afraid or discouraged,” Joshua told his men. “Be strong and courageous, for the Lord is going to do this to all of your enemies.”

Don’t be discouraged though. The Lord will overcome if we continue to follow. Be strong and courageous against all of our enemies – lust, greed, murder, adultery, pride, and what not – that sin thing. Obliviots too, but that’s another blog some day.

Proverbs 3:6 (ESV)
6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Only when we get out of the way and let Christ set our path will we really know peace, will we really be effective in His work here on earth.

Romans 13:7 (NLT)
7 Give to everyone what you owe them: Pay your taxes and government fees to those who collect them, and give respect and honor to those who are in authority.

We have to work within the framework we’ve been given. God created the framework to manage many people and we have to respect that as long as it’s working within God’s framework. At the end of the day, we are the authority and we draw that authority from God.

Let’s live to humbly serve each other and bring the good path to light; let’s honor the life Christ teaches us to live in everything we do.

Exodus 15:2 (NLT)
2 The Lord is my strength and my song; he has given me victory.
This is my God, and I will praise him — my father’s God, and I will exalt him!
