Psalm 16:2 (NLT)
2 I said to the Lord, “You are my Master! Every good thing I have comes from you.”
Psalm 22:19 (NLT)
19 O Lord, do not stay far away! You are my strength; come quickly to my aid!
Psalm 37:24 (NLT)
24 Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.
This is so typical of faith in something we can’t see, something that’s much greater than us, something that’s beyond our ability to get our heads around. It’s a running conflict that follows around an “I know but I’m not sure but I see but I doubt” all the time circular argument that doesn’t have an earthly answer.
It rests on faith – believing what we know but can’t prove (or disprove). There is one, we’ve been told, we’ve had witness, we’ve seen, yet we struggle to have the faith of a mustard seed.
1 Timothy 6:12 (NLT)
12 Fight the good fight for the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you, which you have declared so well before many witnesses.
Ezekiel 34:26 (NLT)
26 I will bless my people and their homes around my holy hill. And in the proper season I will send the showers they need. There will be showers of blessing.
Malachi 1:11 (NLT)
11 But my name will be honored by people of other nations from morning till night. All around the world they will offer sweet incense and pure offerings in honor of my name. For my name is great among the nations,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.
