2 Samuel 22:4 (NLT)

John 3:16-17 (NLT)
16 “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. 17 God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.”
Romans 12:1 (NLT)
A Living Sacrifice to God
12 And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.
Giving ourselves over to someone, anyone, isn’t in our DNA. I’ve heard of parents who can’t give up anything to raise their children right and divorce rates speak to themselves. Family is supposed to be the pillar we lean on as we build new ones as new families are made. Many, most today I dare say, can’t even give up their selves for that.
Is it any wonder we struggle to give ourselves up for God? The Lord is worthy of praise, and he saves us from our enemies, yet we don’t leverage that because we can’t get out of our own way. We can’t give up control, even though we’re barely in control, if at all.
God is so much bigger than I am, than we are, he’s sacrificed so much more than I have, we have, he knows what’s best for me, us, so much more than I do, we do, he loves me more than I can, we more than we can.Yet, I can’t yet turn over my body and soul to be a living and holy sacrifice, to let him direct my life 100%. We is mostly the same.
Lord, I pray that I give up my tenuous grip to get the solid grip on reality only your can provide. Lord I pray for the love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control that only you can bring.
Lord, I pray that I may let go to let God…
