Inbetween

Genesis 15:6 (NLT)
6 And Abram believed the Lord, and the Lord counted him as righteous because of his faith.

Exodus 14:13-14 (NLT)
13 But Moses told the people, “Don’t be afraid. Just stand still and watch the Lord rescue you today. The Egyptians you see today will never be seen again. 14 The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.”

Today, the day after Christ was betrayed, lied about, flogged 39 times, mocked, spit upon, crucified. What happened between yesterday and tomorrow? We don’t know. But we believe.

Tomorrow is our day of rescue. Yesterday was a day of sadness in that we’re who we are that we pinned Christ to the cross. I wish it weren’t that way, but after Adam, it is. The Lord will fight for us, just stay calm.

1 John 5:16-17 (NLT)
16 If you see a fellow believer sinning in a way that does not lead to death, you should pray, and God will give that person life. But there is a sin that leads to death, and I am not saying you should pray for those who commit it. 17 All wicked actions are sin, but not every sin leads to death.

The sin that leads to death is the sin of not believing. The sad thing about that is that those that don’t believe don’t care to believe so it’s a long row to hoe to get them to believe and understand the consequences. We won’t know if there is a God for sure until we know for sure, but I believe and will continue to pray for believers and non-believers alike. Pray for their souls, pray for their health, pray for their eternity I will. We all need it.

1 Corinthians 12:12-15 (NLT)
12 The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ. 13 Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles,[a] some are slaves, and some are free. But we have all been baptized into one body by one Spirit, and we all share the same Spirit.[b]
14 Yes, the body has many different parts, not just one part. 15 If the foot says, “I am not a part of the body because I am not a hand,” that does not make it any less a part of the body.

We are all part of humanity. We, as followers of Christ, need to ensure that we’re the light and assume our leadership position that Christ calls us to. We don’t know what Christ did between his death and resurrection, but I doubt it was stay inbetween.
