Right way Psalm 93:5

Psalm 93:5 (NLT)
5 Your royal laws cannot be changed. Your reign, O Lord, is holy forever and ever.

Isaiah 26:4 (NLT)
4 Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock.

Acts 2:21 (NLT)
21 But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

We work hard to keep things under (our) control, often (always) to our own (eventual) detriment. Maybe things turn out OK, but they don’t turn out as well as they would have had we followed God’s plan. Those who seek God see this in the rear view mirror and understand where we’ve missed and look to get back on course. When we have faith, we can turn it over and trust in God, in his love for us, in his plan for us. Whoever doesn’t have this lens doesn’t know – how can they?

The world we live in today is not God’s plan – the violence, vituperative tenor of politics, the idiocy of what we call normal, and so on. We do live in a messed up world and we made it this way. What we have is because we’ve followed our plan. It’s our plan under our control.

The life I have today is the same – my plan, my control. It is what it is because I put it there. I need to increase my faith, listen to God and his plan, and execute his plan and not mine, if I want the results He has planned for me. No two ways about it.

James 4:8 (NLT)
8 Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.

Proverbs 12:11-15 (NLT)
11 A hard worker has plenty of food, but a person who chases fantasies has no sense.
12 Thieves are jealous of each other’s loot, but the godly are well rooted and bear their own fruit.
13 The wicked are trapped by their own words, but the godly escape such trouble.
14 Wise words bring many benefits, and hard work brings rewards.
15 Fools think their own way is right but the wise listen to others.
