Alive. Jeremiah 29:11-13

Jeremiah 29:11-13 (NLT)
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. 12 In those days when you pray, I will listen. 13 If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.

The simplest games in the world, at least conceptually, are probably either pick up sticks or hide and seek. We do it a lot with our life and with God.

We pick up the broken pieces of our decisions and turn to God for direction. I know I play the game a lot.

We hide from Him and hope he finds is when we rub his genie bottle asking for this or for that (under the guise if prayer). It doesn’t work that way – He’s standing right in the open waiting for us to find him.

There’s a higher calling when we get tired of playing the simplistic games we turn our lives into.

Acts 20:24 (NLT)
But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.

Life is the accumulation of the decisions we make, so choose wisely.

2 Timothy 2:22 (NLT)
22 Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.
