“9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven 11 and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
Philippians was written by Paul, the guy who had the Vulcan mind meld with Jesus himself. As Saul, he did everything he could to wipe out Christianity. He literally tried to stamp it out. He was a very learned man, knew the history of the world, of Judaism, of God. He was trained as one of the elite of his time, and he was, just so there’s no mistaking that He was some book smart only, a good athlete who practiced and competed with a high degree of success. He was a man’s man.
However, on the road to Damascus he had a run in with Jesus and his life changed forever. He must have seen everything – the past, the plan, the Trinity. Imagine what a mind blow that would be. Jesus has that effect on people.
Jesus is clear on what His expectations are. We have the choice to meet Christ, maybe not quite like Paul did, but just as real none the less. Plus, we have the Holy Spirit to guide our journey, to change our reality, to fill the God shaped hole in our heart with Him, and replace the pain and emptiness of the world.
Peace and love this Christmas season and forever. Jesus, The Prince of Peace, will rock your world if you let Him.
